How is it already May 18th????

What have you been doing to make yourself feel at home?

Tragically my roommate of 3+ years, Caroline (you know her you love her), moved out </3 So I am really in nesting mode as I’m going to (perhaps insanely) try to rent my apartment alone. So I apologize if I have nothing to report to you over the next year because I can’t afford to do anything, but just know that the homebody in me is probably thriving.

What have you been working on?

As you might imagine I’ve been cleaning and organizing like a mad woman, which is not actively my forte but does feel incredible. I’m pretty pleased with where the decor is at though it’s very much a work in progress.

What have you been listening to?

New Muna album, new Lyyke Li album, and new Lemon Twigs album. All perfect!

Have any existential crises lately?

On the topic of music, the song Bambi by Prince almost sent me into a musical-related existential crisis because sometimes I just can’t believe there is an inconceivable amount of unbelievably good music out there. I played it randomly while searching for a different song and sat there with my head in my hands for a solid minute into it because the intro stopped me in my tracks. Lyrics: creepy, but instrumentally it goes sooooo hard.

What’s your favorite thing you’ve worn?

The cerulean rain coat has quickly become my most worn and most complimented item:

However I also recently got some Big Shorts which I intend on wearing incessantly.

What’s your hyperfixation?

I had the intention of making a vanilla loaf cake this week to be a pseudo strawberry shortcake, but I kept being too lazy to bake the cake so I just had the strawberries and hand-whipped cream (berries and cream? Is that all that is?) which was genuinely so good and simple?? Will be eating again.

My eBay lava lamp of course!!!

I’ve been really into cobalt blue and peachy pink as a color combo lately so this was a solid find.

Have you been watching anything good on tv or at the movies?

Really all that’s new is I started watching House of the Dragon, which I’m clearly late to. My only thought so far is that I wish I could have an antithetical version of Rhaenyra’s story done by Sofia Coppola. Hell is a teenage girl type shit (I’m only on the third episode).

What’s something good that happened this week / what’s been inspiring you?

Two weekends ago I had my Saturday evening in, where I put on Led Zeppelin IV, made an aviation, and homesteaded the fuck out of my apartment, and this past weekend was so sunny and beautiful and warm I got to sit in the sun and hangout with my friends and wear shorts and even bike at night without being cold!!!
