Hi!!! Yes I’m still in Michigan:
What have you been listening to?
I made a giant summer song dump which I’ve been listening to on the beach (W2S vol.5 isn’t quite long enough to stretch a whole beach day… at least for us). But also a lot of “burners,” a coin termed by my uncle and exactly what it sounds like. (My Friday night burner for example is Cyclone by Baby Bash feat. T-Pain, but my Saturday night burner would be something more like Jane by Jefferson Starship).
What’s your hyperfixation?
Nerd gummy clusters since my mother, bless her heart, keeps some in a jar on her kitchen table.
What have you been reading?
As I mentioned last log, I, along with everyone else, have been reading All Fours by Miranda July. I love when a book about a woman such as this is written somehow both beautifully and poignantly.
What is something good that happened this week?
Some of my New York friends visited Michigan this weekend for the first time and (surprise!) they all loved it (unless they’re lying to me). They got to meet my parents and some of my other friends and we had so much fun!!! I love the beach and hanging out with people I love!!!!! It was just a great converging of worlds.
What have you been watching?
Honestly not much because I’ve been outside so much, but last night watched Kpop Demon Hunters (per recc from my friend David who’s mad at me because he’s never gotten featured in a log—hi David!!!), which was shockingly delightful. As described on my Letterboxd: Frozen meets Twilight meets Totoro meets High School Musical.
Sleeper hit of the week?
Remembering that Robot Unicorn Attack exists (thanks Leyna).
What’s been inspiring you?
Golden hour light, LAKE MICHIGAN, screaming Lips Of An Angel by Hinder, playing in the water, bugs, fairy gardens (IRL not on Sims—but that too of course), giggling with my mom on the golf course when we play terribly, snacks for dinner, biking to get ice cream…
Did you do anything cool this week?
Went to Cruz’in, a small festival in my parent’s town, where we saw some sick old cars and also my uncle Dave playing live music (a regular occurrence). When we approached him and I said “that’s my uncle dave” my friend’s were like you’ve got to be shitting me. Gotta love a small town. Anyway here are some pics I took:

Have you made any exciting purchases?
I got this perfect little camp stool for $5 at a garage sale and i’m so excited about it because it probably would’ve cost a fortune anywhere else.
Also got this doll head planter at a cute witchy plant store in Muskegon, which you may have already seen on my instagram story:
Alrighty that’s it for now, BYE!
Real friends would’ve dragged me to Michigan against my will knowing I was making a deranged decision by not going
Been thinking a LOT about robot unicorn attack so glad to know we’re all in the same wavelength as always
